Regain Your Youthful Shape With A Mommy Makeover

These changes often include certain areas that were once firm and tight becoming loose and saggy. Even if you haven’t had a child, these kinds of bodily changes can also be caused by weight fluctuations, genetics, and the natural effects of aging. If your body has gone through this type of transition and you’d like to restore your toned, youthful figure, a mommy makeover may be the solution you’re looking for.

What Is a Mommy Makeover?

A mommy makeover is a combination of procedures used to help women restore their previous figures after going through pregnancy or other bodily changes. Each mommy makeover is fully customized to the needs of the patient and can include both surgical and non-surgical procedures. Some of the treatments most commonly included in a mommy makeover are:

Breast augmentation
Breast lift
Breast reduction
Tummy tuck
Liposuction
Brazilian butt lift
Labiaplasty
Botox
Dermal fillers

Benefits of a Mommy Makeover

For women who have experienced significant bodily changes, a mommy makeover can offer some or all of the following benefits:

Creates a more toned, and more youthful-looking figure
Provides a more curvaceous figure
Improves bodily proportions
Enhances wardrobe options
Can achieve comprehensive results with only one surgery session
Tightens loose, sagging skin
Enhances the size, shape, and symmetry of the breasts
Eliminates pockets of excess fat
Helps to restore your previous figure after pregnancy, weight changes, or aging

What Should I Expect During the Procedure?

The specifics of your mommy makeover procedure will depend on your unique treatment plan. Usually, all of the surgical procedures will be performed in one session, but they can sometimes be split up into two separate days of surgery. The procedures of your mommy makeover will likely be performed on an outpatient basis, and you’ll likely be administered general anesthesia to render you temporarily unconscious. In total, a mommy makeover can take between three and six hours, and you’ll need to remain at the facility for a few hours of monitoring after the procedure. After that, you can head home, but someone else will have to drive you and, ideally, stay with you for a night or two.

Am I a Candidate for a Mommy Makeover?

Women who would like to restore their youthful figure after pregnancy could be good candidates for a mommy makeover. Ideal candidates for the procedure should:

Be in good physical health
Have the desire to restore their figure after pregnancy, weight fluctuations, or the effects of aging
Be relatively close to their ideal body weight
Have no plans to become pregnant in the future
Not be currently pregnant or breastfeeding
Be at least six months removed from giving birth
Have reasonable expectations for the procedure

How Long Is the Recovery Time?

Because each mommy makeover is unique, the recovery timeframe will depend on the specifics of the treatment. Typically, you can expect to need at least one to two weeks of rest before returning to work, and in some cases, you may need to recover for as long as four weeks before resuming your normal routine. Since you’ll be having multiple procedures simultaneously, you’ll be able to recover from all of them at once. This means that you won’t need to spend as much time healing as you would if you had each procedure separately.
