Meet Dr. Mariel Watkins

Dr. Watkins graduated as Valedictorian of her high school class and went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Public Health, Cum Laude, from Rutgers University. She received her Master of Health Science with Highest Honors from Meharry Medical College, where she later attended medical school. During her time there, she demonstrated exceptional leadership, serving as Class President, President of the American Medical Association, and founding multiple peer mentorship initiatives—all while graduating at the top of her class.

She completed her Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery residency at the University of Michigan, one of the top programs in the country, where she received rigorous training in both functional and aesthetic surgery of the face and neck. During this time, she received grant funding to develop physician well-being and coaching initiatives—reflecting her long-standing commitment to holistic care, not only for patients, but for the medical community as a whole.
