The Day of Your Surgery

Your closed rhinoplasty surgery will be performed while you are under general anesthesia, so you will be completely asleep during the procedure and will not feel anything whatsoever. The procedure typically takes between one and three hours to complete, depending on the specifics of your bespoke surgical plan.

Surgery involves making incisions on the inside of the nose that will allow for adjustment of the hump and narrowing of the tip. When needed this can be combined with other surgeries like nostril narrowing, chin implant, and upper eyelid surgery. When performed alone, the closed rhinoplasty approach leads to quick healing.

Recovery After Closed Rhinoplasty

After your closed rhinoplasty surgery, you'll have no need to return to our offices for suture removal. Rather, you'll have a cast that will be removed after about one week. You will experience some minor swelling for about five to six weeks after your surgery, and we will give you a clear understanding of what you can expect from the recovery process. You will receive detailed aftercare instructions and we will also schedule follow-up appointments to ensure that you are healing nicely and comfortably.
