Sculpt Your Dream Physique

Because getting in great shape is so challenging, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with getting a little bit of help. This is why lots of people are turning to a procedure called Lipo 360, which can make it easier than ever before to tighten up your midsection and achieve the breathtaking physique that you crave.

What Is Lipo 360?

Lipo 360 is a cosmetic surgical procedure performed to remove stubborn excess fat from the entire abdomen. This procedure is an advanced alternative to traditional liposuction that offers more comprehensive results by removing significantly more fat from the body.

How Does Lipo 360 Work?

Like traditional liposuction, Lipo 360 works by suctioning excess fat out of the body. However, instead of removing small isolated pockets of fat cells, Lipo 360 utilizes an advanced circumferential technique to remove fat around the mid-to-lower abdomen in a 360-degree area, hence the name of the procedure. This allows Dr. Landford to remove stubborn fat from the stomach, obliques, sides, and mid-to-lower back.

At Chevy Chase Facial Plastic Surgery, Dr. Landford uses the Hi-Def Liposuction method to loosen the targeted fat cells. During this part of the treatment, a special device delivers ultrasound energy to the fat cells to liquefy them. They can then be easily suctioned out of the body through a narrow cannula.

Your Lipo360 Consultation

If you think that Lipo 360 may be right for you, you can start the process by scheduling a consultation with Dr. Landford. She will examine your midsection and ask you questions about what you’d like to achieve with the procedure. She’ll also be glad to answer any questions you have and discuss other potential treatment options. If you choose to proceed with Lipo 360, you’ll work with Dr. Landford to put together a treatment plan that will satisfy your needs and preferences.

What Should I Expect During the Surgery?

Your Lipo 360 procedure will likely be performed on an outpatient basis using local anesthesia with IV sedation. Once the anesthesia has taken effect, Dr. Landford will begin by making small incisions around your midsection. She will then inject the targeted fat cells with a tumescent solution before using a special device to deliver radiofrequency energy beneath the skin. When the targeted fat has been emulsified, she will carefully begin suctioning it out through a narrow cannula. In total, the procedure should take between one and two hours to complete, and you can leave shortly after it’s finished. However, a friend or family member will need to drive you home.

How Long Is the Recovery Time?

After your Lipo 360 procedure, you’ll probably need to rest for about one to two weeks before resuming your normal routine and returning to work. During that time, you should take light walks around the house regularly and take pain medication as needed to alleviate the discomfort. You may experience some swelling and bruising during this time as well. To ensure proper healing, it’s best to wait four to six weeks before engaging in strenuous physical activity.

Am I a Candidate for Lipo 360?

Adults who would like to shed stubborn excess fat around the midsection could be good candidates for Lipo 360. You may be an ideal candidate for the surgery if:

  • You’re in generally good physical health
  • You understand that Lipo 360 is not a weight loss procedure
  • You are within 30% of your ideal weight
  • You have realistic expectations for the procedure
  • You are not currently pregnant or nursing
  • You have a decent amount of skin elasticity
  • You have the desire to eliminate stubborn excess fat around the entire midsection
