Dysport™, approved 2009 is an alternative to Botox®. Dysport™ has been used outside the US since 1991 and was first approved for aesthetic use in 2001. The FDA approved it for aesthetic use in the United States in 2009, as a temporary treatment for moderate to severe wrinkles between the brows.

In the more than 80 clinical study sites, it has been shown that Dysport™ will typically last up to three months. It is also said that the treatment “kicks in” after only a few days, whereas Botox® can take up to 5-7 days to take effect. So Dysport™ might be your ideal treatment when results are needed sooner than later. Dysport™ is available in our Bethesda office.
